As a Network Administrator I within the District Attorney’s Office, you will play a critical role by supporting and maintaining both on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure, ensuring system reliability, security, and performance. You will work with virtualization platforms, Windows server environments, and enterprise systems while collaborating with cross-functional Information Technology teams to support County operations.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in computer science, information processing or a closely related field.

Experience:
Three (3) years of full-time or its equivalent experience in designing, installing, and helping to maintain complex multi-site Network Server Operating Systems, Systems administration including storage, virtualization and cloud.

Substitution: Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis up to a maximum of four years.

Selection Process

Application Filing and Evaluation: Applicants will be required to complete a supplemental questionnaire at the time of application, applications will be evaluated to determine which candidates will move forward in the next phase of the recruitment process. Training and Experience Evaluation: Candidates will be required to complete a training and experience questionnaire at the time of filing. The responses to the training and experience questions on the supplemental questionnaire will be used to evaluate candidates' relevant education, training and/or experience as it relates to the Network Administrator I classification. (Weighted 100%)Final Selection Interviews: These will be scheduled by the department once the eligible list is established.

The Human Resources Department may change the examination steps noted above in accordance with the Personnel Management Regulations and accepted selection practices.

CONVICTION HISTORY

DISASTER SERVICE WORKER
All Contra Costa County employees are designated Disaster Service Workers through state and local law. Employment with the County requires the affirmation of a loyalty oath to this effect. Employees are required to complete all Disaster Service Worker-related training as assigned, and to return to work as ordered in the event of an emergency.
