Description
The Criminal Investigation Division is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Law Enforcement Records Specialist II (Temporary) to support the Sexual Offender Registry program. This critical role is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of registrant files and ensuring compliance with legal and procedural requirements. The successful candidate will contribute directly to public safety by providing essential support to investigative efforts.
HOURLY RANGE: $20.59 - $24.40
This temporary position is limited to three (3) days a week at 8 hours per day.
THIS IS A TEMPORARY POSITION AND THERE ARE NO BENEFITS ASSOCIATED WITH THIS TEMPORARY POSITION.

Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and update Sexual Offender Registrant files with meticulous accuracy.
Prepare and process registration documentation, both electronically and in written format, ensuring completeness and compliance.
Utilize Records Management Systems (RMS) and the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) to accurately input, retrieve, and disseminate information to authorized personnel and agencies.
Provide professional and courteous assistance to the public and collaborating government agencies.
Perform standard clerical tasks, including data entry, typing, and filing, in a timely and organized manner.
Demonstrated proficiency in performing repetitive clerical tasks with a high degree of accuracy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally and courteously with diverse individuals.
Minimum Qualifications
US Citizen
High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
Ability to obtain and maintain National Crime Information Center (NCIC) certification within six months of employment.
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and experience with data entry software.
Honorably discharged from the military (if applicable).
Have no pending cases or criminal felony convictions (misdemeanors may require expungement).
No THC or Marijuana use within 365 days; some drugs are automatic disqualifiers.
No student loans in default status.
