IDEAL CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate is a compassionate, organized, and resourceful individual who is dedicated to supporting families through the Maternal Child Adolescent Health (MCAH) and Health Care Program for Children in Foster Care (HCPCFC) programs. They excel at building rapport with clients, assisting them in accessing essential services, and navigating systems such as transportation, county benefits, and legal resources. They are comfortable conducting home visits, transporting clients when needed, and serving as a dependable point of contact between clients, HHSA, MCPs, and Public Health Nursing.

This candidate demonstrates strong communication skills, cultural humility, and the ability to remain patient and supportive when working with clients experiencing stress or crisis. They are detail-oriented, able to manage documentation and case coordination effectively, and willing to take initiative in outreach activities, coalition meetings, and resource delivery. Above all, they are motivated by a commitment to improving the health, safety, and wellbeing of families in the community.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Human Resources will assess your application to determine if you are minimally qualified using the following recommendations.

Where college degrees and/or college course credits are required, degrees and college units must be obtained from an accredited college or university. Courses from non-accredited institutions will not be evaluated for this requirement.

Education:Equivalent to possession of an Associate of Arts degree with major coursework in social services, psychology or a related field,

Experience:
One (1) year of experience in eligibility determination, counseling or intervention or in office sup port work which has included interpreting and explaining complex rules and regulations. Relevant experience may be substituted for the education on a year for year basis.

The ability to speak and read Spanish in addition to English would be an asset and is required in this position. Spanish bilingual candidates may be eligible to receive differential pay of $1.00 per hour for all hours in pay status. In order to be eligible to receive such differential, an employee must demonstrate language proficiency acceptable to the Department Head as certified in writing to the Director of Human Resources. The Human Resources Department shall use a verbal and/or written testing process, depending upon the level of bilingual skill required of the employee, to validate the employee's skills. The differential is defined by the Memorandum of Understanding between the County of El Dorado and the Bargaining Unit representing this job classification.
