Position DescriptionThe Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) invites applications for a part-time, non-tenure-track Assistant Professor position for the Speech-Language Pathology program.
Candidates must have expertise and qualifications in assessing and treating communication, cognitive, and feeding disorders in the pediatric population. This position will require the individual to provide and supervise clinical services for patients in the TTUHSC Speech, Language, and Hearing Clinic and various other settings (e.g., schools) in Lubbock, Texas.
Major/Essential Functions- Supervise and mentor graduate student clinicians in various settings.
- Provide clinical services to patients in various settings.
- Provide service to the department, university, and profession.
- Participate in clinical simulations.
- Provide clinically relevant teaching.
- Participate in professional development.
Occasional Duties
Required Qualifications- Master's degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Evidence of at least three years of clinical practice, with a focus on pediatric services.
- Demonstrated commitment to working with graduate student clinicians.
- ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) and Texas licensure (or eligibility).
