Job Summary

SEM : Performs limited supervisory and semi-skilled manual work involving general maintenance and repair of wastewater collection systems, facilities and grounds. Employees assigned to this classification perform a variety of tasks involving above-average physical effort and operation of power tools and equipment requiring some manipulative skills and frequent exposure to chemicals, noxious fumes, raw sewage and garbage and extreme weather conditions. Work is assigned and carried out according to oral and written instructions, usually from an assistant supervisor or field supervisor and is reviewed while in progress and upon completion through direct observation, meetings, and review of work orders to ensure quality and timeliness.

Minimum Qualifications:

SEM: High school diploma/GED; two (2) years of experience maintaining or repairing wastewater collections systems or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Computer operation and software skills required to retrieve and closeout work requests. Required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Florida CDL Class B or higher required. GOAA ID Badge required within 90 days of hire. Annual respirator physical required.

GOAA Criminal History Record Check and Security Threat Assessments Disqualifying Crimes: If you have ever pleaded guilty or nolo-contendere ("no contest") to, had an adjudication withheld, been convicted or found not guilty by reason of insanity to any of the following under Title 49 CFR 1542.209 and 1544.229

• Violence at international airports

• Felony involving willful destruction of property

• Felony involving a threat

• Felony involving importation or manufacture of a controlled substance

• Felony involving burglary

• Felony involving theft

• Felony involving dishonesty, fraud, or misrepresentation

• Felony involving possession or distribution of stolen property

• Felony involving aggravated assault

• Felony involving bribery

• Felony involving illegal possession of a controlled substance punishable by a maximum term of imprisonment of more than 1 year.

• Forgery of certificates, false making of aircraft and other aircraft registration violations

• Interference with air navigation

• Improper transportation of a hazardous material

• Aircraft piracy

• Interference with flight crew members or flight attendants

• Commission of certain crimes aboard an aircraft in flight

• Carrying a weapon or explosive aboard an aircraft

• Conveying false information and threats

• Aircraft piracy outside the special aircraft jurisdiction of the United States

• Lighting violations involving transporting controlled substances

• Unlawful entry into an aircraft or airport area that serves air carriers or foreign air carriers contrary to established security requirements

• Destruction of an aircraft or aircraft facility

• Murder

• Assault with intent to murder

• Espionage

• Sedition

• Kidnapping or hostage taking

• Treason

• Rape or aggravated sexual abuse

• Unlawful possession, use, sale, distribution, or manufacture of an explosive or weapon

• Extortion

• Armed or felony unarmed robbery

• Distribution of, or intent to distribute a controlled substance

• Felony arson

• Conspiracy or attempt to commit any of the aforementioned criminal acts.

If this posting indicates a degree is required, the following experience will apply in lieu of any degree as follows:

• Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
• Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
• Six (6) years of direct experience for a master's degree; or
• Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree.

Salary:

USD 19.91 - 25.38 per hour
