Description

Under general supervision, provides direct service to Alameda County families providing information and linking families to services and community resources that support and/or enhance their child(ren)’s development; assesses needs and eligibility for programs/services, processes referrals and inquiries from the early childhood central access point, and manages assigned cases. Additionally, as agency and program needs evolve, additional duties may be assigned to support service delivery and departmental priorities

Minimum Qualifications

Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. Additional experience and/or education can be substituted to meet typical qualifications. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be:

Three (3) years of increasingly responsible experience in child development, social service, or psychology supplemented by college level coursework or training in child development, social work, psychology, or a closely related field.

Additional relevant work experience may be substituted to meet the college coursework/bachelor's degree standard.
