Job Description

Purpose:

Under general supervision, this position assists in general administrative or research functions to develop a working knowledge of a targeted area in municipal government.

About Department & Key Responsibilities

Austin Water is seeking civil, environmental, or chemical engineering students to join the Facility Engineering Division in the Spring semester. Facility Engineering is primarily responsible for scoping and delivering Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Projects at our treatment facilities.

The purpose of this position is to perform duties to support Austin Water’s Facility Engineering Division, including various engineering and technical tasks as assigned. Examples of potential tasks include:




Schedule:

20-40 hours per week

Monday to Friday

Working hours are flexible to match class schedule

January - May 2027 Semester

Pay Range:

$22.05 - $30.00 per hour (depending on previous work experience)
