ABOUT THE POSITION

The Clark County Department of Business License is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the Program Administrator position. This position is responsible for reviewing and analyzing franchisee performance and ensuring compliance with County Code and franchise agreements. The Program Administrator confers with and represents the department and the County in meetings with staff from other departments, as well as representatives of governmental, community, business, professional, public agencies, and members of the public. This position serves as a liaison to various committees and commissions, providing staff support while negotiating, administering, and overseeing a range of agreements and service contracts. The incumbent prepares technical, statistical, and narrative reports; correspondences; and other written materials. The ideal candidate will contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of the Franchise Division's services by offering recommendations and directing or participating as an active member of a work team. Additionally, the Program Administrator leads the development of goals and procedures for the Franchise Division. This position also completes informational surveys, prepares and submits reports to various regulatory agencies, funding sources, and other organizations. The incumbent may direct the work of professional, technical, or administrative support staff on a project or day-to-day basis. Responsibilities also include ensuring that required franchise-related information is posted accurately in accordance with applicable local and state laws and overseeing the maintenance of accurate records and files for the Franchise Division.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Public Administration or a field related to the programmatic or service area to which assigned AND four (4) years of full-time professional and/or administrative experience in an area related to assigned program or unit. Prior lead or supervisory experience is desirable. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered. An advanced degree in appropriate field preferred.

Working Conditions: Attend meetings outside of normal working hours.

Licensing and Certification: Specified positions may require possession of valid Nevada Class C driver's license at time of appointment.

Background Investigation: Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background investigation. Periodically after employment background investigations may be conducted.
