Description

The Cataloging Librarian leads the Library's Technical Services functions and plays a critical role in ensuring materials move efficiently from selection and acquisition to discovery and use by the community. This position oversees acquisitions, cataloging, processing, bibliographic database quality, vendor coordination, and Technical Services workflows and procedures. As a member of the Library's professional team, the Cataloging Librarian also provides reference and technology assistance at public service desks, participates in collection development and library-wide initiatives, and works collaboratively with staff and consortium partners.

Typical Qualification

Requires a master's degree from an accredited college or university in library science or a closely related field and a minimum of two (2) years of experience in a public library.

COMPENSATION:

The Town's complete compensation package includes salary, benefits, and a high-performance culture. The Town package includes a health, dental, and vision insurance plan, participation in the state retirement system, optional 457 deferred compensation with a town match up to 6%, vacation, holidays, and additional comprehensive benefits.

The expected hiring range is $68,525-$73,000

The full hourly range is $68,525 - $102,787

Salary offers are based on the candidate's equivalent experience and internal equity with other employees within the same job classification.
