Position/Program Information

The County of Los Angeles Chief Executive Office is seeking an Executive Director, Jail Closure Implementation Team (UC). The Executive Director, Jail Closure Implementation Team will have a deep understanding of carceral systems and an abiding commitment to justice system reform, balancing various interests and values including public health, racial equity, rehabilitation, community safety, and social justice. This commitment must be balanced by practical knowledge and experience in navigating challenges presented when working to align large, complex, and siloed systems because the individual will need to influence, motivate, and challenge stakeholders to reach consensus in order to reach established goals. Ideally, this individual will have a successful track record of developing and directing policy related to reforming complex systems, infrastructure, and services provided to justice-involved individuals.
