Salary Range: $62,988-$104,980

Perform duties related to security compliance and enforcement, aviation security, physical security and access control to include CCTV monitoring, incident management, training, customer service and compliance inspections of airport premises, vendors and stakeholders. Position will serve as the "customer facing" arm of the security compliance and enforcement team and will be responsible for balancing the security requirements of the TSA with the customer service initiatives of the airport. Position also serves as lead shift representative with the responsibility of managing junior staff on all airport security duties. Management also includes scheduling, work assignment and oversight and staff mentoring.

Supervision Received

Direction received is general and focuses on accomplishing objectives which are outlined in policy and procedures on airport security. May work independently or with other staff with responsibility for completion of assigned tasks.

Minimum Qualifications Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Public Administration, Aviation Management, Airport Management or related field.

• Four (4) years of directly related professional experience in security operations, law enforcement, military or related fields or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position.

• Must successfully pass a FBI fingerprint based criminal history records check with no disqualifying crimes within the last 10 years and a Security Threat Assessment conducted by the Transportation Security Administration.

Preferred Education & Experience

• Master's degree in airport/aviation management, business/public administration and 4-6 years experience in a security environment.

Previous experience working in a Compliance Unit/ Section at a Category X airport

• Airport Certified Employee (ACE) - Security designation from the Association of Accredited Airport Executives.

• Certified Member (CM) accreditation from the Association of Accredited Airport Executives.

• Certified Protection Professional or Physical Security Professional designation from ASIS.

• Certified Aviation Security Professional certificate from the American Board for Certification in Homeland Security

• Certified Homeland Security designation (I-V) from the American Board for Certification in Homeland Security

Licensures and Certifications

Valid Georgia Driver’s License, or valid Driver’s License from another state, with ability to obtain Georgia Driver’s License within 30 days.

Required physical, lifting, and sensory capabilities are requirements to perform the job successfully. Typical environmental conditions associated with job. Must be able to stand for an extended period of time; walk and run without assistance; and lift 50 lbs on occasion.
