Position Description
This position is responsible for assuring smooth operation of the front clinic patient flow. Employees serve as primary contacts for patients and are responsible for scheduling appointments, preparing necessary paperwork before the patient visits, receiving patients, and maintaining records. In addition, this position may responsible for processing charges for clinic services, filing insurance claims, responding to requests for information from patients and insurance companies and maintaining related information for the department. Employees may be responsible for cash.

Major/Essential Functions
This position will be largely responsible for handling the check-out of patients accurately able to collect co-pays and ensuring insurance and documentation are complete and updated. This position will work to ensure that consults are being reviewed and scheduled promptly. This position will send all clinical progress notes to referring and consulting providers. This position will occasionally assist patients on phones.

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented person to make sure that the front end of the Dermatology Clinic can run efficiently and effectively. We are looking for an individual who can uphold the TTUHSC institution's Values-Based Culture.

Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. 3 years Customer Service, office or related experience, with 2 of those years in a healthcare setting preferred. Additional education may substitute for the experience requirement.
