The Human Resources Director must have a combination of education and experience that would likely provide the knowledge and abilities to effectively fulfil the responsibilities of the position.  A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in human resources, public administration, business administration, psychology, or a closely related field; and 8 years of increasingly responsible human resources management experience, including 2 years of management / administrative responsibility and labor relations experience.  A Master’s degree is desirable and experience in a governmental setting is preferred.  The annual salary range of the position is $180,022 to $270,034, and the City provides an excellent benefit package.
