Professional work in testing, reporting, andsupporting the environmental manager and environmental supervisor with the Industrial Waste Pretreatment Program (IWPP) for the City. Professional work in supporting the technical and regulatory work associated with the Industrial Waste Pretreatment Program (IWPP) for the city to ensure environmental compliance with established federal, state, and local regulatory standards, industrial surveys, environmental research, inspections, various pretreatment reports, andother specialty projects. Professional work in supporting the technical and regulatory work associated with the best management practices for the Dental, Pharmaceutical, and Imaging Waste Program (DPIWP) for the Industrial Waste Pretreatment Program (IWPP). Professional work in supporting the technical and regulatory work associated with the Revenue Meter Program. Provide oversight of revenue meter readingsand flow history reports and investigate accounts. Serve as a liaison to the Wastewater Billing Section and aid in diagnosing accounts with chronic under-registering meters or questions on meter inaccuracy to support accurate billing. Provide guidance, instruction, and training for employees and customers regarding the installation of meters, maintenance, and specifications. Professional work in supporting the technical and regulatory work associated with overseeing remedial activities, dewatering activities, and other various miscellaneous activities, as well as their discharges to the City’s wastewater system. Professional work in supporting the technical and regulatory work associated with the Multi-Jurisdictional Activities of the City. The multi-jurisdictional program grants additional authority to the City of Orlando needed to regulate industrial users outside of its jurisdiction. Assist the Environmental Manager and Environmental Supervisor with developing legal authority, local discharge limits, industrial user inventories, control mechanisms, compliance monitoring, and enforcement. Data Review of schematics, tables, analytics, and maps for permits, inspections, projects, reports, and other activities. Communicating and educating municipalities, contractors, and facilities . Perform preventive maintenance on pretreatment sampling equipment and meters and other various electronicsandgroundwater monitoring wells. Create requisitions, track invoicing, track purchase orders, review invoices, and approve invoices for processing. Responsible for developing and implementing sampling/reporting plans, standard operating procedures, and quality assurance documents for the pretreatment group. Assists the Environmental Manager and Environmental Supervisor with pretreatment meetings, including regulatory meetings with EPA and FDEP, training new employees, developing and implementing sampling and reporting plans, preparing Discharge Monitoring Reports (DMRs), recommending and requisitioning environmental equipment and sampling tools, and overseeing the work performed by outside laboratories and contractors.

Minimum Qualifications:

ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL: Associate's Degree with major coursework in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field and five (5) years combined experience in code enforcement field , inspection field , engineering field , industrial pretreatment field , laboratory field, project management, or wastewater treatment field, the water quality field ; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience .

Florida Industrial Pretreatment Association (FIPA) Level A Pretreatment Certificate or equivalent is required, Florida Stormwater, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Inspector Certification or equivalent is required , or two (2) additional years of related experienceas listed above. A valid Florida Driver’s License isrequired. GOAA Secure Area Access I.D. badge within ninety (90) days of hire.
