Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent, plus six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in construction or maintenance activities, including five (5) years of experience which were in water and wastewater underground utility construction maintenance, including one (1) year of which was in a lead or supervisory capacity.

Position Overview: The Water Meter Services Supervisor will lead our team in delivering exceptional water meter services to our customers. This position will oversee the installation of water meters, utilize AMI data to leverage opportunities for improving customer service and manage water theft investigations. This position will be responsible for coordinating the plumbers’ program which works with plumber contractors to ensure proper installation of water meters. This role will involve collaborating with customer service teams to promote water conservation and provide support on water meter maintenance activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills, with a focus on driving process improvements and excellent customer service.

Pay Range
$30.70 - $38.37

Hours
Monday - Friday; 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

May be required to work extended hours, modified shift work, on-call and call back, after hour emergency work, bad weather days and holidays as required by business need.

Essential duties and functions, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following. Other related duties may be assigned.

Provides technical expertise for installation, repair, and maintenance of AMI water meters and water valves including testing water meters and fire hydrant meters. Interprets AMI meters, gauges, maps, and profiles. Schedules, evaluates, and performs quality control on AMI meter maintenance. Reviews, evaluates, and records AMI meter data using PCs and video equipment in preparing and producing reports to ensure quality, productivity, and accuracy of work assignments. Interprets applicable Federal, State, and Local ordinances and regulations and ensures compliance. Coordinates activities with engineers, construction inspectors, other organizations, and City departments and divisions. Investigates and responds to citizen complaints and concerns. Evaluates progress and results and recommends major changes in procedures, processes, and policies. Operates with substantial latitude for independent action or decision. Assists in budget preparation. Develops and implements procedures related to AMI operations. Develops specifications for purchases. Plans and schedules safety and tailgate meetings and ensures proper training and guidance is provided for personnel. Implements and conducts AMI software installations, programming, diagnostics training; AMI transmitting devices training; and guides and coordinate AMI mounting installation procedures.
