This position will be located at the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, Division of Environmental Quality, in our Air and Land Unit located at 2155 N. Westwood Blvd., Poplar Bluff, MO 63901.

Duration of Assignment: May 1, 2025 - August 31, 2025

• Update the Air and Land electronic filing cabinet, spreadsheets, and other necessary data sheets.
• Compliance assistance outreach to Air Pollution, Solid Waste, and Hazardous Waste facilities for site visits, and phone and/or email communications
• Assist with field inspections and special projects for the Solid Waste Program and Air Pollution Program
• Research disposal for expired chemicals.
• Assist with vehicle maintenance and cleaning.

• Undergraduate or Graduate in a science major
• Knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access)
• Ability to meet and interact with the public in a professional manner.
• Ability to perform moderate lifting, bending, work in outside environment.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

• Experience gained from special projects, attending site inspections, miscellaneous trainings.
• Experience in various work environments (office & outdoors)
• Experience in working with a governmental agency.

Salary:

17.77 per Hour
