Description
OverviewWe are looking for a Temporary Parks Worker to join our team!
Natural Resources manages Larimer County's great outdoor places, including open spaces and magnificent water-based recreation areas, and fosters responsible land stewardship through weed management and healthy forest practices.
Our mission is to establish, protect, and manage significant regional parks and open lands providing quality outdoor recreational opportunities and stewardship of natural resource values. We are committed to fostering a sense of community and appreciation for the natural and agricultural heritage of Larimer County for present and future generations.
This is a temporary full-time position that may last u p to 10 months . This position may work weekends and holidays.

ResponsibilitiesWhat you'll be doing:
- Performing general upkeep and cleaning of campgrounds and park facilities.
- Maintaining park landscapes, including mowing, watering, pruning, and controlling weeds.
- Operating and maintaining light equipment such as mowers, chainsaws, weed eaters, and hand tools used in park maintenance.
- Assisting park visitors by providing information on recreational opportunities and explaining park regulations.
- Completing additional duties as needed to support park operations and job responsibilities.

What we're looking for:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and traverse long distances over rough terrain.
- Capacity to push, pull, and lift heavy objects as needed.
- Skill in operating and maintaining groundskeeping equipment, such as mowers and string trimmers.
- Clear and concise communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions effectively.
- Friendly and welcoming demeanor to greet and assist a diverse range of park visitors.
- Strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, agency representatives, and community members.
