Job Location: This position will be located at the Broadway State Office Building; 221 West High, Jefferson City, MO.

The Division of Finance and Administrative Services-Grants Unit is the Department’s financial team responsible for cost allocation and financial reporting. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join the team and play a key role in the efficient and accurate completion of the financial processes that support the Department’s mission to empower Missourians to live safe, healthy, and productive lives.
The work hours for this position are 8:00 to 5:00, Monday through Friday.
What you’ll do: • Prepare federal fund disclosure forms and complete FFATA reporting.
• Compile financial data to assist with the timely and accurate completion of cost allocation processes and financial reporting.
• Monitor and reconcile expenditures to ensure appropriate funding is coded, requested, and drawn.
• Maintain a highly organized and accurate audit trail to support all work products.
• Assist with preparing responses to inquiries regarding federal financial participation and financial reports, including accurate and timely state and federal audit resolution.
Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years of relevant experience and/or appropriate certification. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
- Experience in cost allocation, federal grant administration and/or financial auditing is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:• Proficient use of Microsoft Excel.
• Great attention to detail and highest degree of accuracy in work products.
• Ability to work independently and effectively manage time to meet deadlines.
• Ability to evaluate trends and outliers, identify problems, and recommend appropriate action.
• Ability to research, interpret, and apply rules, regulations, or other guidance to cost allocation and financial reporting processes.
