Your Impact- Perform public infrastructure maintenance tasks including repairs to roadways, parking lots, concrete curbs, gutters and sidewalks.
- Maintains knowledge of safe work practices.
- Respond to requests from the general public and public safety.
- Practice proper traffic control on busy arterials to ensure safe work zones.
- Daily use of a computerized maintenance management system to keep and maintain complete and accurate electronic records of all work performed and specialized equipment used.

Minimum Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent with vocational/technical training in street construction/maintenance.
- Two years of street maintenance and construction experience, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- A valid Class A California Driver's license may be required depending on assignment.
Best Fit- Overall knowledge of Public Works and experience in street maintenance-related work is desired.
- Two years of concrete maintenance
- Excel at exercising sound judgment and maintains a high level of professionalism while performing street maintenance tasks throughout the City.
- Proven track record of outstanding customer service skills and a positive attitude.
- Demonstrated computer literacy and working knowledge of email, Microsoft Office applications, virtual communication and meeting platforms, and mobile devices/tablets. Working knowledge and experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is desirable.

The Public Works & Sustainability Department combines the strengths of Administration & Planning, Park Development, Transportation Planning & Mobility, Infrastructure Maintenance & Operations, Capital Project Delivery, and Sustainability &Environmental Initiatives to create a unified approach to infrastructure management and sustainability. City assets include streetscapes, open space, City parks (community and neighborhood), athletic fields, bike trails, roadways, traffic signals, and more. The Capital Improvement Program has an annual delivery of $100 million in capital projects, in addition to the delivery of the globally relevant Great Park. With over 200 dedicated staff across 5 divisions, we prioritize efficiency, sustainability, and community engagement in all our endeavors.
