Pay Range: $18.32 - 22.90/hr

Workdays & Hours: 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, Monday- Friday with a weekend rotating schedule during the peak season; March through October.

Multiple Sr. Maintenance Worker jobs are available with the City of Fort Worth Park & Recreation. The Park & Recreation Department maintains more than 200 parks and public spaces citywide as well as providing recreational activities and educational programming that makes Fort Worth a great place to live, work, and play.
Minimum Qualifications: - High School Diploma/GED and three (3) years of general park maintenance and/or construction experience
- Valid Driver’s License
- Must pass physical and drug test
Preferred Qualifications: - Past experience in operating tractors, zero turn mowers and front-end loaders.
- Proper techniques and uses of a variety of hand and power tools and machinery
- Variety of construction and maintenance activities in the completion of assigned divisional operations
Sr. Maintenance Worker job responsibilities include: - Operate a variety of hand and small power tools and equipment such as push mowers, weed eaters, stick edgers, backpack blowers, chain saws, pole saws, shovels, rake, pick axes, jack hammers and various other equipment in support of a variety of maintenance and construction operations.
- Maintain park turf, trees and landscape plants using proper mowing, edging, and pruning techniques; collect and haul trash and debris; clean debris from ditches, culverts, and creek beds, maintain hard surfaces and trails.
- Clean and maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment; complete and assist in strenuous repair, installation, or construction activities for the Park and Recreation Department.
- Operate medium and light equipment such as driving brush trucks, tractors, riding mowers, frontend loaders and various other equipment in support of a variety of maintenance and construction operations.
- Perform weekend reservation set up for shelter and park reservations.
