OverviewWe’re hiring an
Energy Manager to join our team at the Larimer County Facilities Department and lead the way in driving energy efficiency across our diverse facilities!
We’re looking for an experienced professional to provide guidance and expertise on a variety of energy projects and outcomes. Our department manages everything from real estate and planning to security, capital construction, and operations & maintenance for around 1.5 million square feet of County buildings and campuses. As part of the Support Services Division, we are dedicated to providing top-notch service and making a meaningful impact on the community.

ResponsibilitiesWhat you'll be doing:
- Gathering, tracking, and reporting on energy performance across County facilities and campuses.
- Researching and recommending energy-related grant programs to support County needs and projects.
- Conducting data collection and cost analysis for energy project opportunities.
- Managing energy projects from inception to completion.
- Developing energy training and educational programs for County staff.
- Advising day-to-day decisions and long-term strategies for real estate, planning, capital construction, and operations & maintenance.

- Proven success in managing large, complex projects with multiple stakeholders and external pressures.
- Ability to present complex information effectively to Boards, Senior Leadership, and external partners.
- Experience reporting energy performance data to State agencies, preferably including the Colorado Energy Office.
- Understanding of organizational dynamics, with experience in both public and private sectors.
- Skill in sharing challenging information and tactfully influencing positive outcomes.

- Five years of experience in a directly related field or in the performance of similar duties and responsibilities related to energy and/or sustainability management and coordination.
- Equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Sustainability, Business or Public Administration, or a field directly related to the program area.
- Possession of a valid Driver's License by date of hire required.
