Currently, there is one full-time vacancy split between the Recreation & Senior Services (RSS) Department and the Finance Department. When assigned to RSS, this position will perform duties including preparing purchase order requisitions, processing invoices, weekly contract instructor payments, monthly credit card reconciliation, and assist the Budget Analyst with additional research and analysis. When assigned to the Revenue Division in the Finance Department, this position will primarily perform duties related to customer service, including but not limited to, answering phone calls, helping customers at the counter, responding to voicemails and emails, providing cashiering services such as processing checks and electronic payments, and opening and closing water utility accounts.

SELECTION COMPONENTS:
1. Application Evaluation: Applications will be accepted on a continuous basis with the first review of applications on February 19 , 2 0 25, or at 150 applications - whichever occurs first .
2. Online Skills Exam: T entatively scheduled for February 21 , 2025. Top-scoring applicants who pass the examination will be invited to a virtual interview.
3. Virtual Interview: Tentatively scheduled for the week of March 10, 2025. Passing applicants will be placed on an eligibility list that may be used to fill future full-time and part- time Senior Fiscal Clerk vacancies as they occur throughout the City.

SALARY:
Full-time monthly salary range: $4,887-$7,221
Part- time hourly salary range: $26.54-$39.17

SCHEDULE:
This position will work a 5/40 schedule.

CalPERS: The City offers an excellent benefit package and membership in the California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS). The retirement formula is based on appointment date and membership status with CalPERS and the employee is required to contribute 11.5% of pay toward the retirement benefit.

Experience & Education and License/Certificate

A combination of experience and education that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities may be qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:

Experience: Three years of increasingly responsible experience in the maintenance of financial and related statistical records.

Education: Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade, supplemented by courses in accounting or business practices.

License/Certificate : Due to the performance of some field duties, which require the operation of a personal or City vehicle, a valid and appropriate California driver's license and an acceptable driving record may be required.
