Hispanic-Serving Institution Under the supervision of a licensed psychologist, provides outpatient psychological services and testing within a clinical setting. Psychological interventions will include, but not limited to, diagnostic interviewing, individual and group therapy, couples and family therapy, psychological consultation, crisis intervention and psychological testing and assessment. Participates in outreach and educational programs throughout campus and the community and participates in research projects.
Major/Essential FunctionsThe fellowship program has an emphasis on clinical child and pediatric psychology and focuses on evidence-based services. This training experience will occur within an innovative, stepped-care model that includes outpatient, intensive outpatient, and crisis stabilization services, all housed within one newly developed, state-of-the-art location.
Postdoctoral fellows work with diverse clinical presentations, low-income, ethnically and culturally diverse families, who are largely underserved. Clinical services and training activities are conducted in-person and via telehealth. Both brief and longer-term interventions, in group and individual formats, are available. Postdoctoral fellows work collaboratively with a team of providers and are actively involved in research, clinical teaching, and supervision.
Required QualificationsPhD or PsyD in clinical or counseling psychology from an American Psychological Association approved program.
