This is administrative work in a moderate-size facility in a treatment program involving the supervision of staff and youth committed to the custody of the Missouri Division of Youth Services with the Department of Social Services. At this level, employees supervise and may perform the activities overseen, in addition to overseeing development and administering case plans, maintaining professional contacts for the unit, coordinating with the field (e.g., case management), and much more.

The following tasks are the responsibility of the Youth Services Manager (Youth Facility Manager II):



One or more years of experience as a Youth Services Manager (Youth Facility Manager I) with the Missouri Uniform Classification and Pay System; and possession of a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency. OR Two or more years of experience as a Youth Services Supervisor (Youth Group Leader) or Youth Services Specialist (Service Coordinator of Youth Services) with the Missouri Uniform Classification and Pay System; and possession of a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency. OR Four or more years of professional experience in the treatment of juveniles as an Education Specialist, School Counselor, Youth Services Specialist (Outdoor Rehab Counselor), Youth Services Specialist (Recreation Officer), Youth Services Coordinator (Regional Family Specialist), Registered Nurse, Substance Abuse Counselor, Vocational Education Instructor, Youth Services Worker (Youth Specialist II), and/or related higher level position with the Missouri Uniform Classification and Pay System; and possession of a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency. OR A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 15 earned credit hours in one or a combination of the following: Counseling, Criminal Justice, Education, Psychology, Sociology, or Social Work; and Two or more years of professional experience in the treatment of juveniles which includes the supervision of staff and youth and responsibility for providing group and individual counseling and related treatment services.

(Professional experience in the treatment of juveniles which includes group or individual counseling techniques may substitute on a year-for-year basis for deficiencies in the required degree.)

Special Requirement: Possession of a valid vehicle operator’s license.
