About University Enterprises Corporation at CSUSB (This is not a state position) University Enterprises Corporation at CSUSB ("UEC") supports the university's educational mission by providing quality services that complement the instructional program. The University depends upon UEC to provide services that cannot be supported with state funds. We’re responsible for business enterprises on campus including, but not limited to, dining, bookstore, convenience store, and vending services. We also serve as the grantee for federal, state, and local funding for research and sponsored projects.
Position Summary Temporary, Part Time, Non-Benefited position.
Salary: $18.00 per hour.
Location: CSUSB Campus.
Work Schedule 19 hours per week. Schedule to be determined. Some nights and weekends may be required.
First Review Deadline This position will remain open until filled.
Typical Activities Under minimal supervision of the Interim Director of Sponsored Programs Administration, the Office Assistant will work independently to:
- Data entry and updating office records as requested by Director and staff.
- Receive and distribute mail to appropriate staff.
- Provide customer service via the phone, email and in person.
- Support staff with special projects.
- Assist staff in organizing department events and meetings. • Track and maintain office supplies to ensure the inventory is well stocked.
- Provide general clerical support including filing and scanning of department documents. • Assist in creating and maintaining various documents and spreadsheets.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications - Education: High school diploma or its equivalent.
- Experience: One year working in an administrative support role in a university setting.
- Other:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Zoom, Outlook and
Teams.
- General knowledge of office methods, procedures and practices, and a working knowledge of correct English, grammar, spelling, and punctuation
- Strong Communication and customer service skills.
- Some on campus travel required.
Preferred Qualifications - A Bachelor’s degree.
- Knowledge and experience with university operations, auxiliary units, and academic units.
