Duties Description

Fair Haven Beach State Park in the Finger Lakes Region is seeking a full-time seasonal employee to perform cleaning tasks for various facilities within the park. Duties include but will not be limited to the following:
• Clean and stock restrooms, kitchens, cabins, cottages, and shelters which includes dusting, sweeping, and mopping surfaces.
• Perform and document routine inspections and maintenance activities.
• Notify supervisor of deficiencies or needs for repairs.
• Stock and maintain supply rooms.
• Assist in the training and coordination of cleaning staff.
• Follow all health and safety regulations.
• Work effectively in a team setting and demonstrate flexibility in tasks and schedules.
• Follow instructions, including written direction, accurately and efficiently.
• Communicate effectively with other staff and park patrons in a responsible and courteous manner under stressful conditions.
• Adhere to the agency’s Code of Conduct Policy and ensure compliance with all guidelines, policies, and procedures in the performance of daily tasks.

Minimum Qualifications

There are no minimum qualifications per Civil Service.

OPERATIONAL NEEDS:
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license that allows the candidate to legally operate a motor vehicle in New York State as a term and condition of employment.
• Must be physically able to perform medium to heavy physical labor.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
