Title: Summer Intern - Department of Records and Transcripts

Starting Pay:Undergraduate rate - $20 per hour; Graduate rate - $24 per hour

Departmental Mission Statement:

The Department of Court Records and Transcripts (CRT) includes the Trial Court’s Records Management Centers, and the Office of Transcription Services (OTS), ensuring all laws, court rules, regulations, and standards for access to services are met, including but not limited to the Supreme Judicial Court's (SJC) Rules on records retention and trial transcriptions; (SJC Rule) 1:11 relative to the disposal of court papers and records, (SJC Rule) 1:07 fee generating appointments and the maintenance of appointment dockets in all courts, and the Trial Court's Administrative Order 19-1: Transcription procedures for appellate review, and the Uniform Transcript Format (UTF) of 2008.

The Department provides statewide oversight of the transcription of electronically recorded courtroom audio and preparing appellate and trial transcripts for all cases. CRT is also responsible for the management and storage of all court records; serving court users with dignity and speed.

Notes:

This is a hybrid internship.

Remote Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, Worcester on Thursday and Friday. (Will need to report to Boston on Mondays for the first 2-3 weeks of internship for training)
