Hispanic-Serving InstitutionSupports the program director by performing administrative duties related to planning, directing and coordinating both the academic and operational activities of the program.
Major/Essential FunctionsProgram Development and Implementation:
- Maintain materials, resources, and processes to support mentor-mentee matching and interactions.
- Implement program logistics, including scheduling training sessions, events, and regular check-ins.
- Oversees the e-learning LMS
Recruitment and Training:
- Identify and recruit qualified mentors from various backgrounds and experiences.
- Develop, schedule and assist with conducting training sessions for mentors to equip them with the skills needed for effective mentoring.
Matching Process:
- Assess the needs and goals of mentees to facilitate appropriate mentor matches.
- Monitor and support the mentor-mentee relationships to ensure alignment and satisfaction.
Support and Engagement:- Serve as the primary point of contact for mentors and mentees, providing ongoing support and resources.
- Organize events and activities that promote engagement and relationship-building within the mentorship program.
Program Evaluation:
- Collect evaluation surveys, tools, and other identified metrics to assess program effectiveness and participant satisfaction.
- Collect data to report on program outcomes and areas for improvement.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, schools, and other stakeholders to promote the program.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and other departments to integrate the mentorship program into broader initiatives.
Marketing and Outreach:
- Develop marketing materials and outreach strategies to attract participants and increase program visibility.
- Promote success stories and testimonials to highlight the impact of the mentorship program.
Program Maintenance- Supports the program director and Title V staff with purchasing of supplies, equipment, and materials necessary for effective long-term and daily operations (e.g., TechBuy).
- Manages coordination with external vendors and contractors utilized for program implementation.
- Maintains up-to-date status on all training necessary for purchasing and procurement services.
Required QualificationsHigh school plus six years experience in related field. Additional education may substitute for experience on a year for year basis.
