ABOUT THE POSITIONThe Clark County Water Reclamation District is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the WRD Control Systems Technician I/II (SCADA/Instrumentation) position. This position will be primarily responsible for:
- Performing new installations, maintenance, calibrations and repair of automated equipment controls, sensors and instrumentation at District facilities.
- Timely and concise communication with technical and non-technical staff, salespeople, consultants, contractors, and the public.
- Assisting staff with troubleshooting, installations and retrofit of control systems as required for reliable and consistent treatment process operation.
- Assisting in the design and design review of new facilities with a focus on process instrumentation and control systems.
- Conducting electric motor controls troubleshooting, installations and configuration of automated equipment.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSEducation and Experience:
WRD Control Systems Technician I
Equivalent to high school graduation and two (2) years experience, training, and/or formal education directly related to fabrication, installation, maintenance and repair of electronic equipment, instrumentation or industrial control systems.
WRD Control Systems Technician II
In addition to the above, one (1) year of experience in the maintenance, malfunction analysis, and calibration of instrumentation and industrial electronic control systems with the ability shown to function with minimal supervision.Qualifying education and experience must be clearly documented in the "Education" and "Work Experience" sections of the application. Working Conditions: Work is subject to performance under adverse environmental conditions. Locations include workshop, field, lift stations and wastewater treatment plant environments. Additionally, incumbent may encounter construction site environments, travel from site to site and occasionally work in confined spaces. Incumbent may be exposed to noise and electrical hazards; inclement weather conditions, dust, wastewater, hazardous or infectious materials, oils, lubricants, toxic chemicals and gases during the performance of duties.
Licensing and Certification: Must possess a valid Class C Nevada driver's license at time of appointment.
Background Investigation: Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background investigation. Periodically after employment background investigations may be conducted.
Medical Examination: Employment is contingent upon the results of a physical examination performed by our examining physician.
Pre-Employment Drug Testing: Employment is contingent upon the results of a pre-employment drug examination.
