Wake County On-Site Water Protection is seeking a qualified, self-motivated Environmental Health Manager to lead our On-Site Wastewater Program. This dynamic role requires an individual with excellent problem-solving skills, a solid understanding of environmental health practices, and a strong desire to contribute to the protection of public health and environmental integrity.

As an Environmental Health Manager, you will oversee a dedicated team of professionals responsible for performing comprehensive site, soil, and well evaluations in accordance with North Carolina's laws and regulations for sewage treatment and disposal systems. You'll play a critical role in managing all aspects of wastewater permitting, including evaluating new and existing applications, reviewing expansion and accessory structure projects, and ensuring the proper installation and functionality of septic systems. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with customers, installers, private sector consultants, and the building community to foster positive working relationships. Additionally, you’ll support department-wide initiatives, conducting routine inspections, overseeing natural disaster shelter operations, and contributing to seasonal swimming pool inspections. Market Range: 73,492.00 - 132,292.00
