POSITION SUMMARY

The Program Manager I - Cloud Applications Support position serves as a dedicated subject matter expert on business applications, including UKG-Kronos/Telestaff, under the direction of a department director or designee. This role involves designing, configuring, testing, training, and supporting end users to minimize errors and reduce discrepancies across the city. Key responsibilities include overseeing the UKG-Kronos/Telestaff timekeeping cloud solution, managing integrations and interfaces between business applications, and handling cloud patch management. This involves managing the release of patches and enabling new features and functionalities. The Program Manager I provides cross-departmental application support, manages reports, monitors daily application operations, identifies optimization opportunities, creates, and maintains training material, and serves as an application administrator. Additional responsibilities include tracking program defects and resolutions, monitoring the progress of operations, and analyzing and reporting program performance to the executive team and directors. This role is pivotal in maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of the cloud application, contributing to identifying optimization and continuous improvements, and providing end user support.

This job classification is in Management Category II for benefits purposes, which includes Eight (8) additional Management Vacation days per calendar year and a monthly Vehicle Allowance of $340.00.


This is a classified position covered by the Personnel Rules.

JOB REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, public administration, business administration or a closely related field.Three (3) or more years of cloud application support experience in one or more of the following: The development, implementation and administration of cloud application programs, methods and/or procedures The evaluation of cloud application programs and operation effectiveness The development of administrative practices to meet cloud application programs, policy, organizational or legislative change Additional qualifying experience or completion of coursework at an accredited college or university in a job-related field, may substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required experience or educationIf claiming Veteran's Preference, candidates must attach a DD214 Member 4 form, and the City of Fort Lauderdale's veteran's preference claim form (J-204) to the online application PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Prior cloud application support experience with the following systems is highly preferred: UKG-Kronos or Telestaff Time-keeping Systems. As public servants, employees may be required to work immediately before, during, and/or after an emergency. All employees must be available and able to work assigned shifts as determined by their Department Heads.

PHYSICAL STANDARDS REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

The position involves light physical demands, such as exerting up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
