Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Development Services Department seeks a Part-Time Administrative Aide.

This Administrative Aide position supports the Development Services Department by performing administrative services. Tasks include but are not limited to tracking and compiling information of interest, preparing various reports detailing information, reading and answering correspondence, customer service, and sometimes handling confidential information.

This is a Non-classified "at-will" position and not subject to Civil Service Rules or any collective bargaining agreement.

JOB REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalencyThree (3) years of face-to-face and/or telephone customer service experience If claiming Veteran's Preference, candidates must attach a DD214 Member 4 form, and the City of Fort Lauderdale's veteran's preference claim form ( J-204) . to the online application.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Experienced with most office equipment such as computer, copy machine, scanner

2. Bilingual a plus!

As public servants, employees may be required to work immediately before, during, and/or after an emergency. All employees must be available and able to work assigned shifts as determined by their Department Heads.

PHYSICAL STANDARDS REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
The position is generally sedentary. Employees sit most of the time but may walk or stand for brief periods of time.
