STARTING PAY: $17.50 - $21.65 PER HOUR BASED ON EXPERIENCE For more details, review the full job details and requirements below.The Maintenance Worker I is responsible for performing a variety of duties for one of the following crews: Park Maintenance, Sports Field Maintenance, Horticulture, Forestry or Park Construction. Work is completed independently requiring a high degree of initiative and motivation.
Key Responsibilities- Operates a variety of mowing and outdoor maintenance equipment; installs and maintains landscaping; plants and maintains trees and other plants; maintains athletic fields and other outdoor areas.
- Picks up trash and debris.
- Completes light custodial work.
QualificationsExperience: No experience is required. Must be at least 18 years of age.
Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Licenses & Certifications: A valid driver's license and favorable driving record are required.
Environmental or Physical Demands: Work requires the ability to navigating uneven ground and exposure to a variety of outdoor elements such as heat, cold, rain, and dust. Lifting and operating powered equipment requires lifting, manual dexterity, and frequent physical exertion.
