An Environmental Field Operations Supervisors job is available with The City of Fort Worth Environmental Services Department. This position will be responsible for supervision and oversight of the City’s litter control including street sweeping operations and related efforts. The Environmental Services Department operates critical programs that continually serve to manage environmental quality, garbage, recycling, and waste reduction services for the residents of Fort Worth. This position is intended to directly support a fleet of street sweeping equipment, operations staff, and litter collection efforts within the City of Fort Worth. This contributes to the City’s vision of the “most livable and best-managed city in the country”.

Working Conditions

Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically require touching, talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, walking, repetitive motions, climbing, balancing, pushing, pulling and lifting; depending on assignment. Incumbents may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, odors, dusts, poor ventilation, chemicals, oils, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting and intense noises.

Physical Demand

Medium work - Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly having to move objects.
