SPECIAL SALARY INFORMATION

REQUIREMENTS TO QUALIFY
To be considered for this role, you will need to have a Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university with a specialization in the social sciences, behavioral sciences, business administration, accounting, or a related field at the time of hire and will need to provide the hiring team supporting documentation.

LICENSE
A valid California Class "C" Driver License is required at the time of appointment. Successful applicants for positions that require driving must obtain and present a copy of his/her driving record from the California State Department of Motor Vehicles before final appointment. Applicants should not present a copy of their driving history until asked to do so by the hiring department. The County will make an individualized assessment of whether an applicant’s driving history has a direct or adverse relationship with the specific duties of the job. License must not be currently suspended, restricted, or revoked.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Deputy Public Administrator I’s are required to comply with continuing education requirements as established by the California State Association of Public Administrators/Public Guardians/Public Conservators, pursuant to Probate Code section 7605.

PHYSICAL CLASS
Physical Class IV - Arduous: This class involves frequent heavy lifting over 25 pounds, often combined with bending, twisting, or working above ground on irregular surfaces. It includes those positions that occasionally demand extraordinary physical activity such as those in Safety positions.

EXAMINATION CONTENT

This examination will consist of TWO (2) parts:

PART I: A multiple choice and/or simulation assessment(s), weighted 40 %, assessing :

Part II : A multiple choice Situational Judgment simulation assessment(s), weighted at 60%, assessing:
MULTIPLE CHOICE, SIMULATION ASSESSMENT(S), AND SITUATIONAL JUDGMENT TESTS CANNOT BE REVIEWED PER CIVIL SERVICE RULE 7.19.

APPLICANTS WILL RECEIVE ONE INVITATION TO COMPLETE BOTH PART I AND PART II. EACH PART WILL HAVE ITS OWN LINK.

APPLICANTS MUST SCORE 70% OR HIGHER ON PART I FOR PART II TO BE SCORED.

APPLICANTS MUST BE WILLING TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE POSITION AND SCORE 70% OR HIGHER ON BOTH PART I AND PART II TO BE PLACED ON THE ELIGIBLE LIST.

ONLY THOSE ON THE ELIGIBLE LIST WILL BE INVITED TO THE IN-PERSON HIRING EVENT.

HIRING EVENT
To be initially considered for this position, you must attend the Hiring Event on FRIDAY, APRIL 18, 2025. T he Hiring Event is scheduled for ONE DAY ONLY and alternative dates WILL NOT be provided.

After completing and scoring your assessment, our office will review your application to ensure you meet the requirements outlined in the job posting. Applicants found not to meet the requirements may receive a disqualification notice, even after passing the exam.

TEST PREPARATION
We provide study guides and other test preparation resources to help candidates prepare for employment tests. While the guides may help in preparing for the test, we recommend reviewing all related materials that seem necessary. ELIGIBILITY AND VACANCY INFORMATION
Candidates who passed the assessment are placed on a list in the order of their score group for a period of six (6) months. We will use this list to fill vacancies in the Department of Treasurer and Tax Collector, located in downtown, as they occur.
