This position may be filled at one of the three levels based on knowledge, skills, and abilities. The entry salary is posted above, with the Intermediate starting salary of $56,712.48, and a Senior starting salary of $61,249.44.Job Location: Central Office, 601 West Main B, Jefferson City, MissouriWhy you’ll love this position:The employee development specialist performs activities in the areas of engagement, outreach, and training, to identify solutions to effectively remove barriers for workforce growth and development. What you'll do: - Coordinates and conducts training programs for employees, including class management, compliance training, and soft skills training.
- Recommends and updates training modules, evaluates trainers, and evaluates and reports on training outcomes.
- Coordinates facilitation materials for focus groups and process improvement.
- Assists or coordinates the activities related to the department’s Accelerated Leadership Development and Professional Development programs, including (but not limited to), action planning, event coordination, employee coaching, assessment, evaluating assessment results and reporting program results to Senior Management.
- Assists or manages the performance consulting process.
Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree: Adult Learning, Business Administration, Human Resources, Personnel Management, Organizational Development, Psychology, Statistics, Training and Development, or related field, OR
Four years of relevant experience.
Special Working Conditions: - Job requires occasional, statewide, overnight travel.
- Experience with training, coaching, and public speaking is desired.
- Hybrid telework may be considered after successful completion of the probationary period.
