Student Intern (Water Operations)
Description
DescriptionThe Modesto Irrigation District is currently recruiting to fill two part-time temporary hourly-intermittent Student Interns, up to 40 hours per week for the summer, in the Water Operations Division. Student interns can expect to work on a variety of special projects related to irrigation and/or civil engineering and land survey during the term of his/her internship.

Duties will vary based on the specific internship and department/division the intern would be assigned.
Typical Qualifications
Typical qualifications may include:
- Enrolled in a two or four year college or university with emphasis in Civil Engineering, Land Survey, Agricultural Engineering, Biology, Environmental Engineering, Construction management, Water Resources or other applicable major.
- Knowledge and proficiency with computer applications including spreadsheets, word processing, relational databases, and CAD applications.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to work cooperatively with others.
