Position DescriptionPerforms professional level work at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center by conducting classes on a per-course or limited-term basis, without any guarantee of continuing employment. Responsibilities encompass the coordination and instruction of one or more courses within a prescribed curriculum.
Teachers in this classification usually specialize in the academic subject, professional discipline or technical skill being taught at the time of employment. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based upon results obtained. May supervise subordinate employees assigned to area of responsibility. Contributes to the university's mission through teaching, research and service, some variation by academic unit.
Major/Essential Functions- Responsibilities include teaching in the following DPT course: HPPT 8203 Functional Anatomy (Summer), specifically including lab instruction.
- Lab instructor responsibilities will include on-site lab instruction and assessment of DPT students and communication with the course coordinator.
Occasional Duties
Required Qualifications- Terminal doctoral degree (Doctor of Philosophy, Doctor of Science, or similar).
- Licensed Physical Therapist
- At least 10 years of experience in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy;
- Prior formal teaching experience.
