SE 451: SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS AND DESIGN


The Department of Computer Science at California State University San Marcos (Temecula Campus) seeks a part-time lecturer for Fall 2025 to teach SE 451: Software Requirements and Design at CSUSM's Temecula Campus.

Course Description

Introduces concepts, methods, and principles of software requirements engineering. Includes requirements elicitation, requirements specification, functional and non-functional requirements, requirements validation and verification, risk management, prototyping techniques, and security considerations in requirements analysis. Also covers software modeling techniques, such as goal model, risk model, agent model, and software design model. Establishes semester-long work groups collaborating on the early-stage development of a software system with final deliverables such as requirements specification and high-level system design.
