Job Description:

Nurse Home Visitor

Description

Overview

Are you a Bachelor's prepared Registered Nurse who wants to work with first-time parents?

The Health and Environment Department has a rewarding opportunity to join our Nurse Family Partnership (NFP) home visitation program! We are a collaborative and skilled team that is passionate about building trusting, therapeutic relationships with first-time parents and helping them meet their goals for a healthy family. Learn more about the NFP program here: https://www.larimer.gov/health/maternal-child-and-family-health/nurse-family-partnership-program

Why join the NFP Program? We are specially trained nurses who travel within the county to provide support to first-time parents in the home to help families develop healthy habits, maintain safe living environments and for them to be the best parents they can be. We offer a robust orientation and opportunities for continuing education to promote nurses in providing best practices to the families they serve. We also foster a team culture that values learning from each other and supporting each other. Furthermore, nurses in this position have autonomy to maintain an appropriate caseload in a hybrid-remote setting.

The Larimer County Department of Health and Environment works to provide everyone in Larimer County the opportunity for a healthy life and values strategy, professionalism, equity, and teamwork. We are dedicated to fostering a workplace culture that prioritizes Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in every aspect of our operations. We recognize that unconscious bias can undermine our DEI efforts, so we actively address it through ongoing education, training, and open dialogue. If you are committed to learning and engaging in actively cultivating a workplace that prioritizes inclusivity for marginalized communities, please consider applying and join us on our journey to foster a workplace where Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion are not just words, but principles that drive our collective success.
