The IT Program Manager in the Project Management Office is responsible for managing and successfully delivering critical and high-risk enterprise-wide IT Programs. Exceptional stakeholder management is essential in meeting organizational goals and communicating across a wide spectrum of audiences including executive leadership.

Responsibilities include collaborating with project managers to define strategy, develop and execute project plans, identifying and managing dependencies between projects and prioritizing projects, and evaluate and manage trade-offs between project size, complexity, cost, urgency, risk and stakeholder value. This position is responsible for partnering with stakeholders to define success metrics and ensure effective, high-quality program and project outcomes that produce value.

IT Program Manager should work towards meeting Project Management Office goals and objectives and contribute to the goal of continuous improvement of the PMO . This position will be responsible for a full range of supervisory activities: selection, training, evaluation, counseling and recommendation for dismissal.

This position is remote, however onsite presence may be required, as operational needs determine.

Pay Range
$48.38 - $66.05
Hours
Monday - Friday, during normal business hours.

Duties, Functions and Responsibilities

Manages and ensures successful delivery of critical and high-risk initiatives/programs. Plans and facilitates project work efforts to deliver on time, in budget, and within scope in accordance with business priorities. Reports on overall performance and progress of City-wide programs/initiatives and ensures project requirements are met. Collaborates with project managers to execute project plans and identify & coordinate resource needs. Evaluates and manages trade-offs between project size and complexity, cost, urgency, risk, and stakeholder value. Leads cross-functional meetings and foster teamwork, drive escalation and resolution of issues. Partners with stakeholders to define success metrics, and ensure effective, high-quality program and project outcomes that produce value. Tracks program status and manages program team complexities to mitigate issues & risks. Ensures programs adhere to City IT project methodology compliance standards. Ensures program execution resources collaborate and operate efficiently and effectively together to meet the program goals and objectives.
