Established by a special act of the California State Legislature in 1959, the agency’s primary missions are flood risk reduction, water supply reliability, fish habitat protection and enhancement, hydroelectric generation, and recreation at New Bullards Bar. Yuba Water Agency is committed to the sustainable management of water resources for flood risk reduction and reliable water supply, enabled through power generation, in support of the environment and quality of life for the community. Under general direction, the Procurement & Contracts Manager plans, schedules, assigns, oversees, and manages the staff and operations performing procurement functions within the Finance Department; participates in the development of policies and strategies for division operations; manages the effective use of division resources to improve organizational productivity and customer service; and provides complex and responsible support to the Director of Finance in areas of expertise. The Yuba Water Agency is seeking a seasoned, collaborative, and team-oriented candidate to serve as the next Procurement & Contracts Manager. A creative and empathetic listener will do well in this role. The ideal candidate is a proven problem solver with the ability to coach and mentor others effectively. The successful candidate will also demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively with various departments, staff members, and external stakeholders.
The annual salary range for the Procurement & Contracts Manager position is $134,243 to $163,196; placement within this range is dependent on qualifications and experience.
