Description

Under the general direction of the Director of Continuous Improvement, the Systems and Procedures Analyst performs complex technical and analytical work assisting the District in the development of standard operating procedures (SOP's) to ensure data integrity and accuracy that forms a foundation for data-driven management decisions District-wide; develops and delivers trainings to departmental and site staff in the application of the SOP's; creates and maintains a library of data quality rules and other assets for alerting and reporting data exceptions.

The incumbents in this classification provide the school community with accurate, extensive, and reliable data about students and programs which directly support student learning and achievement.

Responsibilities include working under direct supervision using standardized routines; leading, guiding, and/or coordinating others; and operating within a defined budget. EDUCATION REQUIRED:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Business Administration, Organizational Management, Communications (with significant coursework in Computer Information Systems and Information Management), or a closely related field.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Four (4) years of increasingly responsible professional experience in the development of operational policies and procedures, analyzing operational needs, and/or recommending organizational improvements.

Classified Salary Range: 40

Work Calendar: 261 Days

Work hours: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

An Eligibility list will be used to fill future Student Data Systems and Procedures Analyst openings.

TENTATIVE DATE & LOCATION FOR EXAMINATION - Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Madera Adult School

A copy of official college transcript showing proof of completion of a bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Business Administration, Organizational Management, Communications (with significant coursework in Computer Information Systems and Information Management), or a closely related field.

*PC RULES 5.2.1.2 5.2.1.2 - In-house employees will have first consideration for the position. If sufficient candidates are not available to complete the three ranks, the Personnel Commission will move to include outside candidates.

The examination process will include screening to ensure applications are complete and meet all minimum qualifications. No additional information will be accepted from applicants once the application has been submitted. Only the most qualified applicants, who pass the minimum qualifications review, will be invited to the examination process.

The examination process will include a multiple-choice competency exam weighted at 50% and a data analysis performance exam weighted at 50% for a total exam weight of 100%. Those candidates achieving a minimum passing score of 70% on each examination will be placed on the eligibility list, and the top three ranks will be forwarded to the hiring authority.

The Eligibility List is valid for one (1) year from the certified date.
