DESCRIPTION

The City of Long Beach, Office of the City Manager has an immediate opening for a full-time, unclassified, at-will Copywriter (Program Specialist) to serve in the Office of Public Affairs and Communications. Under the direction of the Chief Communications Officer, the Copywriter will play a pivotal role in storytelling while crafting and refining content that communicates the City's initiatives, programs and services to diverse audiences.

The position is a hybrid schedule in which daily activities are generally conducted by telecommuting, however it is required that the Copywriter be ready and able to work in person for certain activities, such as, but not limited to, press conferences, community events, site visits, activations, onsite trainings and onsite meetings.
