The Assessor’s office is looking for a dynamic professional who loves details! The Auditor-Appraiser I position in our Marine, Aircraft, and Business Property Division will handle a variety of appraisal duties which will include:
- Value personal property and fixtures including boats and planes for assessment purposes.
- Examining and auditing accounting records.
- Analyzing financial records.

This role is crafted for individuals who possess a Bachelor’s degree with major coursework in accounting or related field. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis, for up to two years.
The hired candidate shall have a valid appraiser certificate and certification to perform Section 469 audits from the State Board of Equalization. Candidate must have completed the required minimum 18 units of accounting and auditing coursework.
