Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Managed Care at the Formby/Wheeler Correctional Units, you'll play a vital role in supporting a population with complex needs-providing care that promotes stability, rehabilitation, and long-term wellness.

Major/Essential Functions- Inmate risk management
- Detection of severe mental illness in all inmate interaction
- General inmate management of severely mentally ill and at risk inmates
- Process referrals to the medical and mental health providers
- Completes referrals to crisis management
- Correct and thorough completion of all types of clinical interviews. Completes all daily documentation by the close of business each day.
- Notify security of Inmate protection investigation (IPI) and inmate threats toward others as instructed by the Safe Prisons Plan.
- Processes cancellations of referrals to Behavioral health facility (BHF).
- Assessments written based upon balanced clinical judgement
- Effectively prioritizing job duties while maintaining risk management as a priority. Maintains monthly productivity numbers as set by Behavioral Health Management Team.
- Adheres to all policies and standards.
- Professional growth, development, and utilization of supervision
- Professionally complete other unit specific tasks, including suicide prevention screener and mental health chain in reminders.
- Performs a various to be determined and assigned by the Regional Manager, Senior Director, Direct Supervisor, or designees.
- Conducts telehealth in clinics as assigned
- Ensures all inmate reminders are accurate and complete
- If applicable: Facilitate group counseling and treatment planning for inpatient or otherwise assigned, inmates
Required QualificationsEducation:
* Master's degree in psychology or a related field from an accredited college or university
