Position DescriptionProvides individual, family, and group counseling services to patients to address various mental health and wellness-related issues. Conducts assessments and helps patients to problem-solve areas of need. Helps to develop coping strategies and action-based goals and objectives for patients. May specialize in a particular area of counseling.
Major/Essential Functions- Provide individual, group, and family therapy in accordance with collaborative care protocols.
- Oversee and mentor assigned mental health fellows through weekly supervision and case reviews.
- Maintain timely, complete clinical documentation in the electronic health record.
- Collaborate with primary care providers to develop and implement behavioral health care plans.
- Participate in case conferences, faculty development, and quality improvement activities.
- Contribute to curriculum development and fellow training sessions.
- Monitor and support fellow compliance with institutional and licensing board requirements.
Required Qualifications- Education: Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or related field.
- 3 years of related experience Licenses/Certificates: Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Professional Counselor - Associate (LPC - A), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) must be working towards LCSW, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist - Associate (LMFT-A), Licensed Psychological Associate (LPA).
