What You'll Be Doing

Wake County has a great opportunity to join Team Wake as Bridge to Home Administrator. In this key role, you will lead one of Wake County’s most impactful efforts to address homelessness. As both a strategic leader and hands-on administrator, you will oversee program implementation, financial management, vendor accountability and system-wide collaboration. Your work will drive service innovation, align with national best practices and strengthen community partnerships to better support individuals experiencing homelessness.

Not only do more units of affordable housing need to be built, housing services must be provided to support families and individuals to access or maintain safe, decent, affordable housing. Affordable housing is also critical to preserving Wake County’s economic competitiveness by offering housing for workers at all income levels, supporting housing stability and economic opportunity for its residents and furthering Wake County’s commitment to healthy and inclusive growth. The Department’s programs include Community Revitalization, Development Financing, Rental Assistance, Homeless and Prevention Services, Community Outreach, Emergency Shelter, Veterans Services and Permanent Supportive Housing.

Work Schedule: Mon - Fri 8:30am - 5:15pm

Hiring Range: 55,974 - 70,000; Market Range: 55,974 - 95,158

Emergency Service Worker Statement

In the event of an emergency, as determined by the County Manager or designee, participation in preparedness and response operations should be expected. Employee may be required to fill a temporary assignment in a role different from standard duties, work hours and/or work location in preparation for, during and after the emergency. Employee may also be required to participate in relevant exercises and regular preparedness training.
