The City of Fort Worth Water Department is hiring a LIMS Programmer/Analyst II to support our laboratory operations-ensuring our water and wastewater systems run efficiently, safely, and in full compliance with regulatory standards.
This position supports the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) for water and wastewater laboratories to ensure daily operations, system maintenance, regulatory compliance (NELAP, TCEQ, EPA), and data reporting needs are met.
This is more than just a tech job. You'll be the go-to expert behind a mission-critical system, working hands-on with lab teams, data, and emerging technologies.
This Position qualifies for the following incentives which is separate from the base pay: - Sign-On Incentive of $6,500 ***50% paid after the completion of first pay period, 50% paid after the completion of 6 months of employment. ***

Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biological science, microbiology, environmental science, information system, computer science or related field
- Two (2) years of hands-on experience in computer programming within a LIMS or similar data management system environment
- Valid Driver's License
Working Conditions Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically require touching, talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, walking and repetitive motions.
Physical Demands Sedentary Work - Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
