Senior Community Justice Pretrial Specialist

OverviewThis is a Team Lead position in the Pretrial Services Unit of the Alternative Sentencing Department. This position may be responsible for the Team Lead program duties and lead accountability for staff in both the Pretrial Services Intake Unit and/or Supervision Unit. This is an advanced-level position requiring knowledge of judicial services, programs, and policies; knowledge of court and sentencing processes; understanding of the workings of a correctional environment; understanding of criminal behaviors; and methods of conflict resolution. In this role, you will provide leadership and support to Pretrial Services staff and adult defendants in Larimer County.
The schedule for the current opening is four 10-hour shifts from 1800-0400 to include one weekend night.
ResponsibilitiesWhat You’ll Be Doing:
- Reviewing reports generated by staff for submission to the court
- Collaborating with a team to complete work and support shared goals
- Communicating policies, procedures, and case information to external partners, including the Sheriff’s Office, Courts, District Attorney’s Office, and public/private attorneys
- Providing direct services to defendants as needed
- Leading and directing daily assignments to ensure coverage and workflow efficiency
- Offering technical guidance and support to less-experienced team members
- Serving in an on-call rotation to assist and advise staff outside of regular hours

- Two (2) years of experience in a directly related field or in the performance of similar duties and responsibilities required.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience is required. Related education or experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
- Adult CPR, First Aid, and AED certification within six (6) months of hire.
- Ensure reliable transportation to work in any County facility.
